yeah so basically today is monday, which is also a public holiday, because of Deepavali, which is a festival of lights. =) and also the beginning of my HOLIDAYS!!!!! (wooh at last U ROX MAN!!!! HOLIDAYS!! )

so today, after having a difficult time waking up in the morning, finally i managed to make my way down to McD and have big breakfast of hot cakes set as well as Burger King breakfast set, which i still keep it in the fridge downstairs..=) hehe yeah so somehow thats the starting of my holiday.

The song 'Set Free' is wrote, composed and arranged by a handsome guy, with a laughter im dying to see and a little wit brain...=p and ... he is my boyfriend haha can u believe it...wit boy wrote a song...hahaha...

well anyway, he is a good singer, and i really like him a lot.

i had listened to his 2 solo album and i liked it very much...(kyaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!)

his voice is really really good..especially if u listen to it in earphone...hehe

After a hard days' of work

yeah so this is what i did to reward myself after a hard days' of labour haha, well maybe not so much of a hard day though, but because the night before i was too excited over something personal and was unable to sleep a wink, and this morning had to get up for school; somehow, the body and mind become hard...haha thus, it became a hard labour though maybe its not very hard...haha physically hard...and yeah, so on the way home from school, i stopped by Coffee Bean to grab a bite and filled my empty stomach that was making unpleasant noise...somehow, i was pissed because of the dummy door that supposed to be automatic, but in one way or another was so pathetic and slow...(arghhhh c'mon fix the damn door...)that caused me to miss my bus...haiz...but luckily, having good food in hand, i was somehow, able to set aside the annoyance almost immediately...haha and the taste of hazelnut is just MARVELOUS!!!! im loving it =9

chance and inventions

yeah so this are basically what i learnt last week, in school, okay, i know perhaps this may sounds like boring, but before you skip this post, lol, try to take a look at some of the nice findings. okay, i dont know why, but i think that the weeks went by so slow, and since it is slow and it is more boring if i didnt concentrate in school, haha so i focus...and surprisingly when i did, everything seems fun...=)

okay, so on wednesday which is a cognitive day, we were asked to solve about how chance play a role in new discoveries...and we are to come up with our own examples of what are the various things that happened by chance and eventually become an invention.

one of it was the microwave oven. which was first found by two scientists, Sir John Randall and Dr. H. A. Boot in 1940 who invented a device called a magnetron to produce microwaves in their lab at England's Birmingham University.the purpose of this is to cook the Nazis goose. actually the magnetron is a component for radar(radio detecting and ranging) which bounced microwaves off the enemy's war machines to detect their presence.

but to cut the long story short, in 1946, Dr Spencer who was making a tests for magnetron, suddenly have crave for chocolates and as he was taking his chocolates, he realised that the choco had melted in his pocket which he had put the magnetron together with it. and sensing that it is not his body that produced such a strong heat, he began to research it with science, by putting a bag of popcorn near the magnetron...which after sometime, the popcorn popped and scattered everywhere on the floor. and after this findings, slowly microwave oven was invented. more info could be found here ( http://home.nycap.rr.com/useless/microwaves/index.html )

another one good invention that was found by chance was cheese. it was actually a milk that was being brought by an Arab nomads in a container made up of the animal's stomach, only to discover the milk had been separated into curd and whey by the rennet from the stomach. and soon enough, people noticed that cheese made in an animal stomach produced more solid and better-textured curds. so with more invention and improved ways of flavouring, the cheese became a suitable environment for a variety of beneficial microbes and molds, which are what give aged cheeses their pronounced and interesting flavour. more info to link this web (http://www.jewishrecipes.org/jewish-foods/cheese/index.html)

yeah so these are some of the invention that happened by chance by people in the past and somehow, i really think that its a good knowledge for all of us to read about it...hehe take it as an interesting facts though...=)

Exciting Week intro

hellow everyone this is Yuliana
im here to warn you that my next post here is gonna be a long story about invention, chance as well as codes even to pricing...well maybe i better divide it into 2 parts so that the words will not gonna damage ur eyes. =p but it is an interesting facts and lesson that i learnt this week...in October..and well, haha it is a really good learning indeed when you listen and cast off all sorts of distractions away from you...lol which is my biggest threat and temptation...( MSN AND YOUTUBE ) OPPPssss!!!!

today is the second week of October...=) yeah and in few more days i will be having one week holidays that i have been waiting for...which is good...haha

okay, so here i am as usual just typing away about what had happened today.
the time now is 10:49 p.m. hehe i had just finished studying for my UT ( understanding test ) a few minutes ago and currently listening to James Morrison, You give me Something, a very light beat of song, a good relaxation song to accompany the night...=) and in the same time to soothe the brain that had been working hard today hehe

well because today i was having science module. and it is about biology, where the problem asked what are the traits that allows us, have the same traits as our parents etc.
and honestly speaking, though clueless about it, eventually i was glad that i managed to cast away the doubts and as a matter of factly enjoyed the learning process very much.
i learnt that the homozygeous and hetrozygeous in our genes are the ones that allows us to be able to have this particular traits that were being shared and splitted from our parents and transferred to us.
and sometimes, we may find some people that have the same traits or face as us right, yeah and this is because of this thing called convergent evolution which is: the development of similar functions and structures in unrelated or distantly-related organisms.

yeah e.g. like bats and birds, they are from different family group, but they both have wings...yeah so despite of being different there are still some similarities between them. and this is because of this alleles that are either allozygous/ autozygeous.
and allozygous---alike but not related. it has 2 alleles that have different ancestral alleles through convergent evolution which made them similar.
and autozygeous--- are alike and related. and yeah this is what caused us to have the same traits as our parents...=) and other reason why perhaps someo f us has the same features as our mom and not dad or maybe dad and not mom, is because, of the dominant and recessive genes.

thus if the mom's blood type for example is more dominant than the father, thus the kid may more likely have the same blood type as the mom...but it all also depends on the criss crossing of the genes. ( hehe more things will be able to be found in wikipedia and more...=p)

but what really amazed me most is the way the incomplete dominance works...hehe this is when both genes are dominant and allows a producing of a new breed. like red flower and white flower...if it contains both dominant genes/ alleles then the next flower that may be formed will become a new colour which is pink...( sweet!!) woooh man...this is really the first time i find science so interesting..hehe but really...today problem and learning object is INDEED INTERESTING. it AMAZED ME A LOT !!!

and ohh, one more thing, if you are wondering what is the difference between bats and birds, hehe the difference will be: bats do not have feathers but furs instead, unlike the birds, and bats fly with its fingers, Unlike the flapping motion of a bird,which flies with its whole arm
extended; a bat’s wing motions are more like an exaggerated
breaststroke. while birds have forearms and short hand bones that support its feathers and allows the movement of flapping of up and down motion of the wings. The wing’s structure is shaped similarly to an upside-down,flattened saucer. Lazy Human

The sun shone its hot rays so strongly that it results in humid weather
The wind blew his breath so softly that only a gentle breeze formed
Creating beads of sweat on everyone’s forehead
As the fierce sun continues to pour down its hot rays to the surface, the people living in it was dragging their feet to work, despite of their attempt to sleep in

However, there is one man by the name of Tyke who cares less about neither the world nor the hot weather.
In his soft bed
Under his warm cotton blanket
He slept like a bear in his den
Despite of his parents’ hard ways to wake him up, he continues sleeping

Whenever he was awaken the first thing he does every time, will be going into the kitchen and grab a bite, just like everyone else; just that unlike normal humans, Tyke will lay his head on the table even when he was eating his breakfast.
After a yummy breakfast, Tyke would relax himself in front of the television while holding on to the cushion on his head and arms.
Even when he was bathing, he will close his eyes or sometimes sit down on the toilet bowl
It seems that sleeping or relaxing are the most favorite things Tyke loves to do.

The lazy day of the summer season has made Tyke a lazy human as ever.

hi everyone, im back

and today im here to tell u the meaning behind my story entitled

"Dreams And Lives"

yeah so why dreams and lives

well the idea of this is to

let readers look at the things in a two different angle

between dreams and lives

okay, lets start on with dreams because that is the first

idea that appeared in my mind that made me create this story

yeah, so, dreams just like life,

there are various experienced in dreams.

sweet dreams, bad dreams, tiring dreams ( the one that made you run in ur dream, u know, as if u are chased.)

just like life that is not a bed of roses, dreams too can be nasty at times.

so, in this story if you look at it in dream point of view,

those moments when the character was flying,

floating and seeing stars above the clouds,

she was having a sweet dream

because things seems slow, calm and certain

however, as she faced with all the

unpleasant feeling of being suffocated, and deafened by

the screams, and all the unplesantness

thats basically a rough idea of what happen when

you face a nightmare.

then you notice there is "a blank" in between the story

and thats when after nightmare sometimes, as our eyes twitch or our body move, and the eyes open, the nightmare was gone and away from us, before we fall asleep again and dreamt another good dream which made us smile in the morning and forget about the bad dream.

on the other hand, if you look at it

in life point of view, once again

those beautiful sensation that the girl manage to feel, was those moment in life when things went smooth and maybe dull for us or too beautiful for us to continue each day.

however, as it reached a point where you have to face some troubles in life, that was when things began to fall apart and you tend to be in fear and out of breath, because bad things seemed to attack you in all direction.

yeah, and again "a blank' is when probably things began to slow down as you/we try to solve it slowly,

and things began to settle down, and we are able to take a breath when soon things began to get better, and we manage to smile and those "comforting smile" and "calming song" belongs to the smile of those people around us that help us out and who are there to care for us.

yeah so thats the rough idea, about what happen in life and why i said its a calming song, because when those troubles are away from us, just like a slow song that soothes the mood, we were able to feel comfortable and no longer so uptight and breathless. and soon, after sometime, things began to "fall deep into the dark and everything's a black out" that refers to death. in life people died, and when we died, all is a black out because we closed our eyes and everything come to a halt.

and in dreams, everything become a black out when we wake up and the dream is no longer appearing in our mind. it stops and we no longer able to dream of it again.

yeah so basically thats what happen behind the story and i know it may sounds kinda confusing, but it is really a good reading...and a good story i manage to make yesterday and im kinda proud about it though because this story is beyond my comfort zone. =) yeah so i hope u will like it too. =) and i m glad that i manage to write like a poet hehe =D

Eyes closed
Relax , no worries
Her breath slow, steady
Up and down her tummy moves
Her ears capture the rustles of the leaves
That falls slowly, gently
Her body light as the feather move up and up and up

Suffocation chocked her
Common sense called out to protect her as she ran for a better view
As she moved quickly
Blurry clouds flew past her
Images swept above and underneath her
A blank
As she gasped for air
Before the light appears again
Bringing with it a pleasant sound
A calming song
A comforting smile
A security
Before things began to fall deep into the dark
And everything’s a black out and stop
